Rikki & brad
really good news
"A spacious wedding."
Rikki and Brad did lockdown together. Her family flew over from New Zealand. They wanted a day with breathing room, so they split it: a small intimate ceremony with just immediate family, then the wider community invited to the reception. No rush, no half-hour blocks, no endless rounds of saying hello. At St. Andrew's Conservatory, while guests arrived at the pub next door, Rikki and Brad sat down with a drink and just existed together for thirty, forty minutes. I ducked between the two spaces, photographing the liveliness building in the pub, then slipping back to capture Rikki and Brad in their quiet moment. When they finally walked in to join everyone, the warmth in the room was unmistakable. Elegance, simplicity, and all the time they needed. If you want more space in your day, you can plan for it. They did, and it worked beautifully.
