I've known Britt since kindergarten, so when she asked if I could photograph her and Sarah's wedding, I was in. Two postponements and a lot of dodging covid later, the day finally arrived. Rain and storms were forecast but they got nothing but sunshine and balmy weather, not that anything could have dampened this much joy. Their first date was at The Imperial on Bourke Street. Sarah arrived to find Britt flustered from work. They stayed talking until they were asked to leave at closing. When it came time to propose, Sarah orchestrated an elaborate fake email about "viewing props" for a school production, luring Britt to Mornington Beach where she got down on one knee. Two minutes later, still in shock, Britt pulled out a ring of her own. She'd had the same idea all along.
